if you want 455HP at 6200RPM take your 4.6l buy a 5.0 big bore block your stock heads flow enough to support up to 530HP N/A. but youll never get there!
you're going to need the intake and exhaust camshafts, headers, at least 10:1CR pistons which is easy to get with a 3.700 bore. the intake manifold I would sell it and buy another manifold. how big is your throttle body? I would go no less than 80MM.
its all in the top end, you're not going to **** on a new mustang you weigh too much but you'll notice better performance than the factory set up. with the engine work and a trans build you can spend near 5k if you are smart about it. along with a shop tuner handling the computer tuning.
I seen frame mods on here? I laughed at that but of course many don't know what they're talking about.
fuel injectors fuel regulator and fuel pump will need to upgraded to support the mods or even if forced induction is to be used.
you can buy a 5.0 big bore block for next to nothing if you search.
new they cost like 1k?
cams $1.500
leave the heads alone
intake manifold? $400-2k this can get wild or even look for used fabbed manifold.
headers they vary so much from $50-1k easily
trans build? another varying subject I believe these transmission rebuilt will handle 500Ft lbs if im correct, I cant remember. 1k-$1.500?
fueling system upgrade used injectors are fine but if you go new you're easily looking at $500 no less.
you have to be smart about it.
good luck
staying N/A with a big bore 5.0 block will net you better fuel economy than F/I, at lower RPMs cruising speeds no difference.
this is about 398HP at the wheels- 455 at the crank. you have to be realistic with what you want.
