I am pretty pleased with the how well the upper intake looks after applying some elbow grease and Mothers "Incredible Billet Metal Polish" to it. Take a look see.
The upper was as nasty as the alternator looks, and don't even mention the lower. I'm going to work on those next. I guess this is what four years of "not doing anything special" does to the aluminum parts. I used an old tooth brush to work on the more stubborn stains on the upper, but the polish did most of the work. A couple more sessions and I should have the engine bay presentable.
That Mothers is some good stuff, but does anybody have any suggestions on what to use to get into the visible crevasses of the lower intake? I can see 'em, but damn if I can get to much with a toothbrush.
