Huh? I must have missed something. Did you have an accident Brian? :dunno:
Splashed some rust dissolver around the frame and other bits. Wiped down the control arms, shocks and axle girdle.
What brand "rust dissolver" did you use tbone if you don't mind me asking? In addition, a UPC would be appreciated to be honest!I've been looking at "rust converter" compounds for quite some time for some non-automotive work, but "reliable" info is difficult to come across!
Thanks in advance tbone!
Yaaaaawn......

Hey Chris, need me to chop those front springs for you!?!?!?! 4x4 FX4 Marauder!
Started the cleaning process on my 64 Galaxie convert.
I'm driving the Parade Marshall in a local July 4th parade.
Just completed a light finishing compound/wax detail on the hood and trunk.

The site says its good up to 200 degrees. I thought calipers would get hotter than that. Does it still work? I've been needing to do something with my calipers...![]()

Use it on your brake calipers and no need to paint black, which will eventually rust through again and or peel. You'll thank me......

I think the G2 paint is cheaper and 200* is way to low for caliper paint. I think the G2 is good for like 900* check out their web siteFWIW This is what I used on my car. It worked great!Almost 2 years no problem. It's called Por15 and this is a pic of the kit. You can get it on eBay. For about $50.00 or so. They have a few different colors. Black, Red, Silver.![]()

First I tried BBQ paint on my calipers and the winter salt caused the rust to come right through. Put the rust treatment on and it turned them nice and black. Have not had an issue in 4 months with heat or anything.
