He asked if it mattered what color the gelcoat was , i didn't care as long as i got a good solid hood , time to let it bake in the sun for a couple weeks before prep work , and paint.
 
Replaced my brand new Bosch starter with a Remy/Delco unit. The Bosch literally screeched right as the engine started. Never heard anything so strange. The Remy unit is smooth and silky. I almost said to hell with it, just live with it since the starter is such a pain to change, especially when you have headers. Glad I changed it out again. My MM deserves it.

WOW I MUST SAY THAT IS NICEST LOOKING DTR IVE EVER SEEN.. big props with those combinations.... blacked pvd chrome with red calipers and widened rear tires...dark tints to set it all off

Thank you sir. I had doubts when putting this all together but there were cars close to this color with pvd color wheels that sealed the deal on getting them.
 
Ordered up a new front fender. Rust bubbles are forming and the return lip is starting to disintegrate. Good thing I don't drive it in the salt anymore. Could be repaired, but it will just come back.
 
Replaced air filter. Cleaned MAF, IAC, and throttle body for the first time in the car's 130k miles. MAF and IAC weren't really bad at all. Throttle body valves were naaaaaaasty.
