What did you do to your car today?

Added a trailer hitch. Not real stylish, but I need it now that I no longer have a truck, and it doesn't hang any lower than the exhaust tips.

Anybody here tow with their Marauder? I'm wondering if these cars have frame flexing problems, because the added cross brace seems to have stiffened my frame up quite a bit. I haven't added sway bars or control arms yet, but on the ride home I noticed the ass end of the car was less twitchy on bumpy curves. Has to be more than just the extra weight hanging off it...

I'm considering a trailer hitch again.
Looked at RV's a couple weeks ago.
Found one manufacturer that had a ceiling height of 6'9" .
Aspen Trail by Dutchman.
The two mini models are 3150# dry.
The one that we got to go in at the show was 4100# dry.
The running joke was the campers are nicer than 90% of most houses!
Vibrating heated sofa?

The whole trailering package, hitch, receiver, ball, wiring, elect. brakes, load levelers, and sway control , totaled thirteen hundo.

Do you tow utility trailer?
Makes me a little nervous about the larger version RV.
I had set a goal of 3000# range but the
Model of choice is gonna be 1000 #'s more.
I would love to hear any feedback on
How the MM does with towing .

I have had one installed on my 2004 for about 10 years now. I have not towed a lot of weight with it. I have towed a 5X10 trailer somewhat loaded and it was not much problem. More than 2500lbs I would feel better with bigger brakes.

I know a guy who peddles bits for bigger front brakes.....

For now I just need to be able to use my utility trailer, but the plan is for a small camper (probably a pop-up) in the future. Brakes will get upgraded. I don't see the need for elect. brakes, and sway control on 3500 lbs, if you upgrade the brakes on it, and with the Marauder's self leveling RAS load levelers aren't needed. I'm old school, and remember going on vacation when my dad towed a 21ft Layton with his Electra 225. Sure the Buick had more power, but those old trailers were heavy as hell. Everything was solid wood. You just go slow and easy when towing.

Got it back from the body shop last Monday (had a small dent in the front fender repaired/painted). Now it's at my mechanic getting the front springs cut, camber bolts installed, alignment(carfixer specs) and rear lowered. It'll be ready for a road trip to Billing MT next week!

Oh yeah, I shed another tear for the recently broken front license plate bracket...

I say its money well spent. but I did all my own work on the car. when you feel the power under your foot. you won't even miss the $$$.

Got her out of storage! Time for an oil change, tire swap (drag radials off, nitto 555's on) and a general check over for the trip!

To fast on the fingers. ..Tune is in and all I can say is WOW! 4:10's hopefully this week.
