What did you do to your car today?

Nothing. My Panther is resting in peace until restoration works begin

I didn't do much to the ol' Merc... it's wet outside today, so I guess all I did today was drive my wife to her hair salon and back home... I DID turn on the wipers.

This evening, we went to Giordano's for pizza... to celebrate (or maybe bemoan) my 75th birthday...

Happy Birthday! I see you live in my childhood town. I don’t miss it a bit! [emoji16]

Where you around when the old drag strip existed?

More McGuiars M-105 arrived yesterday so I can put the finishing touches on the full body buff, some paint work and then polish/wax. Put maybe 10 miles on since last fall. :(

I was able to get the old SCT XCal3 from the previous owner and return my car to stock tune. It had a run of the mill Crown Vic tune that was probably purchased from a local performance parts shop in town. Shifted horrible under light throttle. I was almost starting to think the car had transmission issues!

Tossed in the stock tune, went for a drive and Voila! Buttery smooth shifts again. Now to get myself a real tune from Marty!

Traded it in on a eff one fiddy.

I finally got started on getting the Zack big brake kit done, and installing the rear control arms I bought from Sparta nine years ago. Only trouble I'm having so far is getting those control arm bolts loose. Think I might need a stronger impact wrench.

3.5L twin turbo.

Thanks. Have you ever driven a F-150 3.5 Ecoboost back to back with a F-150 5.0L? Just curious.

Not that my 4.0L Ranger is going anywhere anytime soon - I recall around 10 or so years ago someone here in the states marketed a roots blower for the 4.0L - the stuff dreams are made of LOL!!!!:o

No I haven't. Drove the 2.7 and 3.5 back to back though. Both with 3.55 gears. Didn't notice much of a difference. I do like the 10 speed auto.

Flush & filled the cooling system on the Marauder at a local Ford Fast Lube garage, as well as having the annual safety & emission testing done.

Ditched the crappy Crown Vic tune and got Marty's tune in my car over the weekend. Amazing customer service and badass tune! Car drives amazing now. No more painful slamming 1-2 shifts under light throttle and perfect WOT shifts.

Now for the 4.10's...

Ugly a %#>€£%~£ speeding ticket...

First one in a long time... Good old fashion way too... 2600 rpm w 3.55 gears...= ------- MPH... Wasn't paying any attention. Damn SB always leans-out, planes-out, and creeps itself up to 85-92 mph. It just likes it there.

Did the CHP at least compliment the SB ??
